Comments:

This was a "low budget" race... no frills just a time clock at the end.

I attribute my great run to my Garmin 301. I used it to not over do it early in the race. The plan worked perfectly. The goal was to stay between 9 and 10 min miles until mile 10 and then see how I feel for a push at the end.

Mile 6 was fast but probably because it was mostly down hill. I know I didn't over exert on any mile before 10.

After mile 10 I was still feeling great. So I picked up the pace for a strong 5k finish. I had more in me though. I was shooting for 2:15 and blew that away.
What would you do differently?:

The only thing I would possibly do differently would be to push harder at mile 8 or 9. I think I could have held up that long.
Post race
Warm down:

stretch and drank some water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing :)

Event comments:

I rated the race average based on it being billed as a "no frills" race. Good group of 50-60 people showed up to race.

You are da man!!!! Congrats on busting the 2 hour barrier and eat humble pie for saying back to back was too much. Sounds like you followed the plan and the plan worked to perfection.

Great race. Who needs frills? I like those smaller races.
