Subject: Timex Ironman HRM problem....

I have been using the Ironman HRM GPS watch since Christmas with great results but have recently encountered a recurring problem. A couple of minutes after i start, the HRM goes crazy and reads 240 bpm continuously. I try resetting it but as soon as it connects to the HRM again the same thing happens. It's not location related as it does it all the time, so cant be interference etc.

Is this just a battery change on the chest strap or does anybody know any other issue. I'm a little concerned as I bought this direct from the US and had it shipped to the UK so am not sure if my warranty would be valid over here?

Thanks

I'd try changing the battery and then see what happens. And, I would think that your warranty should be ok! Maybe even give them a call for suggestions!

Are you running near any power lines? High voltage can mess with heart rate monitors and cause interferance. The only other thing I can think of is that it is not keeping the connection or staying wet. Does it stay at 240 or come back to your normal?
