What would you do differently?: Don't drink so much before the race, ended up overhydrated. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: 3 minute run from water to bike, 1.46 in transition area. Drank 10oz water/gaterade mix. What would you do differently?: Don't drink more than a swallow or two in transition. ended up overhydrated. ![]() Bike
Comments: Drank about 24oz gatorade and water mix during bike, probably about the right amount but with before and after volume total was too much. Ate 2 gels on the bike. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: about 2 minutes run from T2 to start of run course so I included it in t2. Again drank another half a bottle of mix. really felt bloated. What would you do differently?: Only drink during transition if thirsty, and I shouldn't be thrirsty coming off of the bike. ![]() Run
Comments: lost it after the first 2.5K. too much water, no legs, loss of will power or something. Very hot on the way out with wind at your back. What would you do differently?: Drink less. ![]() Post race
Warm down: None really What limited your ability to perform faster: I think I had too much water and was affected by the heat during the run. Also I had a massage the day before, that may have been a mistake, maybe have the message after the race. Last updated: 2005-12-20 12:00 AM

Woke, at 0400 at a bagel with Peanut butter. Drank about 30oz of water arrived at 0520. start -20min drank 15oz gatorade endurance. S-15min ate one GU gel with 6oz of water.
Short 50m easy swim only.
