Pre-race routine:

Race scheduled to start at 11:00. 5 k runners start first so actual start time was 11:14 AM.
Event warmup:

2 x slow jog - one to get the nerves out, the second to warm up just before start. Total of .5 miles and stretching.

Snowed last night so track in back roads was slippery.
What would you do differently?:

More work on speed prior to race. This is a fast course where I can get personal bests.

Need more speed work.

Good race to run next year. Gives focus to training during the holidays.

Course: Flat through the village of Salisbury Beach then up Route 1A North toward Seabrook almost to the Lights at Rte. 286. Footing in the back streets was slushy and slow. 1A was wet but fine.

Did ya do the Polar Bear Plunge after?  If ya didn't, you're smarter than me (and a certain unnamed girl pilot).
