Comments: I did better in this race than my first. I started last week going to an elementary school and jogging a little after work. I actually only did that three times though. I still had to walk some, but I didn't allow for much. If I walked, I tried to pick it back up to a jog after a few seconds. I saw a big horn sheep standing on top of one of the mountain tops as I came up a hill. Pretty cool! What would you do differently?: Continued work at the track and practice running better. My knee, which is usually burning wasn't bad today. New shoes worked well. Just the breathing and burning lungs to deal with. Hopefully further practice will improve cardiovascular shape and run time. Post race
Warm down: stood around, drank a shot of OJ, ate half a banana. Race provided sample of Cliff bar and Hooah bar. Hoohah bar (apple cinnamon) was actually kind of tasty! What limited your ability to perform faster: Cardiovascular shape Event comments: The race was too hard because I didn't expect the hills.
