Pre-race routine:

1-5-06: Pre-Race prediction is that I run 7' miles and set a PR. My ultimate goal for the race is to average 6'52" miles and complete the 1/2 marathon in 1 hour 30 minutes (1:30)

Comments:

I ran with the 3 hour marathon pace group (although I was doing the half marathon). We split at mile 8.5 but I was holding pace perfectly fine with that group. The rest of the run I had to pace myself.
What would you do differently?:

I PR'd by a significant margin...by 6 minutes!

Event comments:

My 10K split was 42:21 which is the fastest 10K time I have ever done.
I am pleased as can be to run a race at this pace, knock off 6 minutes from my personal prior best half marathon, and live to tell about it!

hmmm....okay......my 10k best is about 42 mins as well.....that was during an Olympic last summer...i havn't really ran that many races in my life before. Actually, that was the ONLY timed 10k I ran.  I would love to break 1:30 for a half mary though.
