Subject: RE: who lives in the smallest townAccording to http://www.city-data.com/city/Kalaheo-Hawaii.html the population of my town is 3,913. There is one stoplight and Subway in a mini-mart. But our island supposedly has 58,463.. that doesn't include the bazillion tourists here daily... 13 miles from where I live is a Walmart, Home Depot & a Macy's...We just got Starbucks 2 years ago and it was big news.. Actually when the Home Depot opened it was where people went on a Friday night.. no joke. Honolulu is an airplane ride away... or 100 miles.. or $140 away... and the Hawaiian islands are the most isolated populated islands in the world! |
