Wow, what a scary tagline?

Ok, so apparently I'm a pretty stressy person.

In college I did transcendental meditation and found it kind of stupid, but hey I was stupid in college too. :-)

I'm thinking about my blood pressure right now, which isn't bad but it's not good either, and there is no other explanation. I have great nutrition, lots of whole grains, organics, veggies, tons of olive oil, and I excercise like a ... well, like a what? Well, like you guys. :-) Actuallly that's "as" not "like" isn't it? I exercise AS does everyone on this board.

So anyway I'm thinkin' that the irritability and, yes there is a high level of stress whenever we're at home. Like right now, I'm just tense all over because I know that someone is going to interrupt me for the 30th time in under 5 minutes.

I don't spend much time on the computer ~ maybe a total of an hour all day, if that. Probably not even that much. So I don't think I'm expecting too much of folks around here. This is just life in a tiny base-housing place (wonderful home, by the way, no complaints except that it is tiny) with nowhere to get away from all of the constant demands. Someone ALWAYS needs me.

This is a great time in our lives. I am just an extremely selfish person, and I think that's why I get so darned irritated.

Wow, this has turned into a rant. :-)

Folks outside the family think I am serene and calm and the most mellow parent in the world. isn't that funny! :-) Actually whenever we're out of the house, I am pretty relaxed.

So anyway, as though I need to add something else to my plate. People are asking for a second book. HA! Man, I miss writing. wow... So anyway, as though I need to add something else too my plate, TM is thrice daily practice totalling an hour. I get up at 3:30 as it is at least 3 days a week. I try to hit the sack by 8 or so, but it rarely happpens.

What is my question here? Are there any meditators out there ~ specifically of the transcendental variety? I suppose I"m looking for a push.

Thanks.

don't know of any meditations, but I do know that Yoga really relaxes and calms me down. If you picked that up, you could work it into your workout schedule as a strength training exercise.
