Huge areas of the city are blocked off to accomidate all the street parties going on.  THe city is going crazy!!!  How cool is this?  I remember all of the previous Steeler's victories, but I was less than 12 years old, and lived in the 'burbs.  I tell ya what...I'm headed out to the corner bar to celebrate with my fellow Pittsburghers...!!!  Won't you all raise a pint and celebrate with us? 

 To the seahawks, wow, that was a great game, a real nailbiter until Pittsburgh broke a few big plays.  Have a pint with us anyway!

Note the thread about it here.  Actually, since you're obviously happy about  the win you might want to avoid it since there's alot of unhappiness expressed about the reffing and the game in general.

You guys beat my Seahawks, congrats. I do have to say that I was pretty pleased to see the Bus win a Super Bowl, he seems like a pretty well deserving guy

Ahh...thanks for pointing out other thread! 

I had no intention of starting a thread about the game itself,  I just wanted to share a bit about all the stuff shown on TV of the crowds around the city in a the young & hip neigborhoods...that type of enthusiasm doesn't happen around this city very much. 

As it was, I went down to the local bar to just see the crowd and as soon as I walked in, chick fight starts!  BOdies start flying everywhere, bouncers start throwing people out the door, some dude starts yelling about how this guy hit is sister, etc, etc...

 So everyone gets thrown out the door, then some chick sticks her head back in and yells, "They're F**in each other up outside" and the bouncers run back outside and break it up again. 

 

Sheeshh...all I wanted was a beer  !  Drunk people are really idiots most of the time.
