Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:30am had a couple of nutri grain bars and some powerade endurance..... loaded up the car with my bike and gear and headed out for my 1hr 45min drive..... arrived around 7am unloaded car and headed over to the transition area to rack my bike...
Event warmup:

Did a little stretching...... took a little jog about 5 mins..... took a 2 mile ride on the bike....

Great T2 for me biked with no socks took feet out of shoes while riding the last few hundred yards the only thing that slowed me down was the run through the crowd to get to the pool not very organized bumped in to 2 spectators while trying to get to the pool

Warm down:

Took a short walk ate a banana..... Waited for Rudy Garcia Tolson to come in....

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just that damn chain....

Event comments:

The highlight of my day was meeting up with Rudy.... I spent a few minutes before the race talking to him about Ironman.... I was very impressed with him a very nice kid..... I hung out with him and Bob Babbit from competior magazine for about 20 mins after the race had the pleasure of meeting his mom..... just great people....

If I didn't have my chain come off my sprocket I would have gone closer to 31 mins on the bike..... I felt really good on my bike today.....
