Subject: RE: Computer people, opinions?Congrats on your first build. You'll never buy a machine built by someone else! In my experience RAID is a major pain to install. You have to load the RAID drivers with a floppy. Partition Magic doesn't like it. I've been a long-time user of Ghost and RAID just wasn't worth the hassle for a home machine. I have two 250 gig Seagates that I picked up for RAID but now use my second drive to swap my page file and Ghost/BU my data. Personally I love Ghost. I feel much safer screwing around with my system. Whenever I make modifications, update drivers, add/remove programs, I Ghost away and my back is always covered. I put all my 'system' software on C: (including most programs); games on another partition; my docs on another and all my media files on one more. When I do Ghost it's generally my system drive. But also use it to occasional backup my other data. My take on Ghost anyway. Edited by yojimbo 2006-02-19 8:34 PM
