Swim
Comments: Rode hard on last bike lap, which left me too winded for the swim. On top of that I forgot to grab my goggles. I basically did the breast stoke the whole way, because I couldn't catch my breathe and I could not see. It was good that it was at the end of the race, since I lost my contacts in the pool. What would you do differently?: Remember goggles and go harder on bike early rather than late. Transition 1
Comments: This was a reverse Tri.....Run - Bike - Swim....and T times were added into bike and swim legs. Estimated time for T1 is 0:1:15, which was between the run and bike. A little trouble clipping in at the start. Legs shaky from the run. Bike
Comments: I could have pushed myself a little more Transition 2
Comments: Time for T2 was approx. 0:42:47. Run
Comments: I really wanted to run faster that 8 min. miles. I probably started out a little too hard because I was with a fast group. I also was having a little trouble breathing. What would you do differently?: Train...Train....Train Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: When I went to bed the night before I wasn't feeling too well. I was getting a soar throat and had a headache. In addition we had some teenagers calling the house between 11 and 11:30...multiple times. Also the two year old woke up crying at 12:40am. I felt like I only had about 5 hrs of sleep. The goggles were a huge mess up, definately affected my swim. It should've been 2 minutes faster. Event comments: Overall the race was ok. Although, I don't think I am a big fan of the reverse format. Last updated: 2006-01-05 12:00 AM
