I`ve been surfing like a madman this month, but a flat spell for the past few days has put me on track to meet my goal. It`s getting harder and harder every month to meet the challenge (the waves get better during the spring) but I will continue to do my best. Good luck (but not really) everyone.

I've had a little bit of a rough month, but if I get to the pool the last 2 days of the month, I should be able to make my goal...  Congratulations to everyone who has met their goal already!  Let's see who is left in April

116 yards to go -- Should have popped it off this morning, but I knew I'd be swimming again tomorrow!

Congrats to all who have finished.  I'm with karris -- who will remain for April????

I'll be in the mix.  But 34k will be a LOT of swimming!  Maybe I'll last till May!

Good job.

One day to spare........yeah right.  It was all planned out just to make the rest of us sweat.  You should be able to make April and  May, it's just one more 3400+ swim.

Are ya sweating???

1 more 3400 yard swim --- that's a lot, espcially since I need to get my running and biking mileage up!

Good Luck!

No I am not sweating.  I am itching to get out on the road.  I have done nothing this week and the weather is starting to get nice and the days are getting longer.  Get my bike back tomorrow. Master start up again next week. The kids are finishing hockey giving me more time to train on the weekends.  Can't wait......

I have 2 suggestions re this challenge.

1) Keep it going as it stands - adding 10% to each month total.
or
2) For April - award the title to the individual who can surpass their April goal by the greatest %?

Just a suggestion. I'll leave it up to you folks to decide.

I say to keep it going as stands - or if it is going too slowly, up the percentage to 15% maybe? I'd think the second option would bias against those having to do a lot of yardage.

This is getting challenging.  I say go another month and call everyone remaining a champ.  We do still have two other disciplines we need to work on.  For me, anyway, I've got to make 33000 plus yards to stay in the game.  I can't really devote much more time than I already am.  By the same token, I'm sure there are others remaining in the 20k range that have similar issues.

This has been a great challenge.  I've improved significantly as a swimmer, now I need to transfer that learning to other disciplines... Does that make any sense?
