Finalizing the rules and came across this question for participants:

Is it the losing team (no plural) that changes their avatar for the month or losing teamS?  Does this include signature lines as well?

Okay, it is settled then:

Winner is determined by percentage of goal obtained and team average.

No credit beyond 100%.

In the unlikely event of a 100% goal acheived + 100% team average, then each team is declared a winner.  Axiomaticaly, the losing team is the team with the lowest percentage of goal acheived and, in the case of a tie, the lowest team average.

It is the losing team (no plural, but singular) that must change their avatar + signature line for 1 month, beginning on April Fool's Day (which I believe is an international holiday? -- help me out here, my Canadian brothers).

Relying upon honesty and the honor system, injuries can result in a lowered goal and, if severe enough to keep the participant out of commission for an extended period of time - e.g. better than 10 days - then their line-item can be dropped from the team's calculations.

Any further comments on the rules?

zagagirl - 2006-03-20 12:51 PM What day does the challenge end?

The Challenge ends Friday, March 31st at midnight ... results to be posted on April 1st and winner determined April 2nd?

I'll be doing a metric century on April Fool's Day (much of the same course as Tour de Georgia - but slower ), so I wont be able to have something to the Team Captains for review until early afternoon on Sunday ... if the Team Captains so desire to have the winner declared on April 1st instead of the 2nd, I can pass off tabulation duties and have someone step in as the SEC Team Captain?

Who knows, Wolf's Pen and Craig's Gap could be the end of me!  (HUUUUGE climbs in elevational gains as the course is in the north GA mountains.)
