Ladies and Gents are we ready! Checking the weather on the horizon and it says showers for the moment, still early days so this may change. Hopefully it will.

Can you give me a rundown on the course?

Hilly...flat...road condition...is it usually windy in Va. this time of year?

How about the water...I'm expecting cold.

Thanks,
See you there

I'm driving down, but not sure where I'm staying, hopefully camping. Ya I hope it isn't raining and that it stays warm, even though I know the water will be cold as crap.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the water last year was very cold and choppy, the bike course is not flat and some other things that neither alarmed me or seemed odd. Sorry can't remember where and I have been searching high and low.

The bike course is different than the Odyssey 1/2 that is run at Lake Anna as well, but if the terrain is the same it is "lightly rolling".

i'll agree with Stake's "lightly rolling."  A lot of the roads in and around the park at false flats, so depending on which way you are going... well.  you get my point.  The water temp right now is sitting right around 61.  A few more days of sun and it could rise, a day of rain and it could drop.  Either way, 58 and 65 are both still cold a$$ water, so bring your wetsuit and still be ready to freeze.

The water wasn't as cold as I thought it would be so that was good. The Rain did add an extra element to the race, had to take it easy on those corners. Overall a great experiance.
