I use Spiz for my long rides and in my HIM.  Way different than gatorade.  It has a ton of stuff in it for going long.  You can mix it up in a bike bottle for however many cals you'll need.  Right now it only comes in 2 flavors:  chocolate and vanilla.  Chocolate reminds me of YooHoo and makes me feel like I'm going to get tooth decay from drinking it.  Vanilla is a little less sweet for me.

Spiz comes in a large container.  I e-mailed the manufacturer and asked for a trial size of each flavor, and they gladly sent me some so that I could try it out without buying a huge canister.

Um, "Spiz" sounds like something one should be eliminating, not drinking...

As Pirate Girl posted, spiz is quite different from gatorade. Spiz is more of a meal replacement product. Quite a bit of protein and fat in it. Very popular with RAAM riders.

Personally I'm not a big fan of it, but I know others who swear by it for IM distance races. I've used it occasionally as a recovery drink if getting real food in me isn't practical.
