Run
Comments: Went way too fast at first trying to keep up with others. After the first mile I slowed down and went my normal pace. What would you do differently?: pace myself better throughout the race. Post race
Warm down: water and a bannana What limited your ability to perform faster: The course actually had a bit of an incline which I am not used to from running on a flat track all the time. Event comments: They had three themed aid stations throughout the course. The people were excellent shouting for the runners. The cops had it going on with blocking traffic for everyone. Plus escorted the lead, rear, and middle of the pack. It was a small race with only maybe 30 to 40 people in it. Overall it was a lot of fun and great for a first race. Also as a side note the t-shirts were actually good. Nice thick ones and not those cheap thin ones that fall apart after one washing. I had to leave right after the race so I didn't get the age break downs. They should post them soon and I will update this then. Last updated: 2006-03-01 12:00 AM

Woke and ate a big breakfast for me. Peanut butter toast and sugar free jelly toast. Glass of milk and a cup of coffee with 3 tsp of honey.
Drank water, stretched, walked around the parking lot a bit. Shook out my legs alot and chatted with other runners.
