Hi everyone and welcome to weigh in week 3   And another great week we have had, total weight loss this week is.............. 42.8 pounds!! Awesome job everyone, our total for the challenge so far is 98.02 pounds!   And a big congrats to our biggest loser this week, VikingMom (Danielle) with a loss of 5.5 pounds.

Well heres to another great week, and yes I need to kick my own butt, been a slacker this week and put on 400 grams (0.8 pounds), so I'm pretty much back where I was at the start.  Been full of the flu the last few days, heres to a better week this time

If you want to look young and thin, hang around old fat people. hehe

I started my 18-week to first triathlon program this week, and thus far it's been working. And the workouts feel GREAT!! I can see that I may get crunched for time as the weeks go on, so I'll need to get better at time management.

Goals for this week:
Log weekend foods into FitDay
Make healthy food choices at dinner out on Friday
Go bike shopping this weekend!
Get more organized at home

Hi Team,

Just been in hospital so I wont be weighing in this week. Between the fluid only day and nothing at all day I cant really take my weight as anything at the moment.

Will hopefully be back to normal life tomorrow I hope!

Hope everyone else has had a great week weight loss

KellyG, thanks for the props!  I didn't realize I had lost so much.  Your signature is great, by the way...

Start Weight:  152.5

Last Week:  146.5

Current Weight:  143.5

Goal Weight:  137

This Week's Loss:  3 pounds

Total Loss:  9 pounds

Lest anyone worry about this rapid weight loss, I'm injured and so can't do anything involving peddling, kicking or saddest of all ... not even running!

That means lifting weights is it, and my neighbor is a personal trainer who swore up and down that lifting actually burns more calories than running.  I thought she was full of hooey, but she's the hottest mother of five on the planet, so I listened to her, and two weeks into the program she is right!

My upper body is looking nice and lean, and the quads are finally taking some shape.

Good things that happened this week, my jeans that were to tight I was able to put on and zip up easily! I can tell other clothes that were tight on my belly are loose now! I made good food choices when tempted not to. My weight would have been lower but I had Sushi last two days with soy sause.

Goals for this week:
Same as last week plus
1. Work on mental aspect of training/racing/eating
2. Have fun at my 5 mile race Sunday and set a PB …last part should be easy as last one I did it was snowing/raining/sleeting during the race.

Goals for last week:
Lose weight even a little-Yes
Make good food choices & continue to eat whole natural carbs-no flour.-Yes
Food is not a reward-Yes wanted reward for doing something opted not to!
Not obsess with weight loss-Yes

Had a crappy week, I took a couple of days off due to a cold which led to 4 days off. I had trouble getting back into it, both excersise and eating wise. I'm back into now, I swam 30 minutes at lunch yesterday and ran 30 minutes last night. The running is still a real pain, I like it but it hurts. I'm still stuck at running for 2 minutes then walking for 1 minute, repeated 10 times. It adds up to 20 minutes of running done in 30 minutes. I want to increase this soon but I don't want to get injured. Maybe next week I'll increase the running a bit, maybe run 2 1/2 minutes, walk 1 minute, repeated 10 times.

The bottom line is I gained a pound, but I'm not worried about it. It looks like I need to lose 2 pounds a week for the next 13 weeks to meet my goal. If I stick to my plan I should do OK.

I knew it'd be tough this week to lose any. I had 2 huge meals for dinner that didn't help. The last being a lasagna dinner that my mom brought by the house for my wife's bday. Back on track next week.

that sucks so much!!! i'm always motivated at the beginning of stuff (lost 2.4 lbs the first week) and then i totally fall off the waggon.
feel like i totally lack perceverance!
hope there will be better news at the next weigh in.

well, maybe it's all muscles. i'll cling to that idea until next week, i guess. (i do feel like i might look better and pants are looser, even thought i've put on weight. but i'm not working out more than i used to, so where would those extra muscles come from all of a sudden?)

OK, not a great week but not a bad one either....Given how long I've been fighting to break this barrier.....I am HOPING that I will break that goal by my birthday (4/25), leaving me 2 months left in the challenge.  If so I will revise my goal....

I didn't loose much this week but more importantly I didn't gain this week either. This week was a rough one the weather didn't cooperate at all, it was cold and snowed where as last week it was beautiful and spring-like. Weather looks ok for this next week so hopefully I'll be able to get out and put some real miles on and finally break that 230 barrier. Once again congratulations to everyone....

Well, this week went to hell in a handbasket.

I have had the mother of all chest colds. Haven't exercised since Saturday, haven't been able to, haven't wanted to. Unfortunately, when I get sick, I like to eat (Feed a cold, starve a fever? No?). I don't think there were THAT many extra calories, which leads me to excuse #2... Water retention from my monthly friend.

When it rains, it pours. Hope next week is better.

Seeing this in print encourages me to keep at it, especially since I opted for the pizza tonight. Logging my meals, even the potato chip one, is keeping me honest with myself. It's been so many years since I've had any regular discipline with my eating that this feels really good--worth the effort for sure.

One of you has a great signature quote about choices--I'm going to find that, print it and put it in several obvious places!

this is not going at all how I had planned. i guess stress does play a major part in losing weight. I am starting a new job that can be very high stress. Right now I don't know much because I am so green, but I am already feeling the stress of a new situation.

Well no change yet again for me, although I got most of my workouts in, and stayed pretty much on track eating wise.  Did live up to my goal of no latte's during the week , so I'm keeping with that and only one day eating out for lunch next week.  April's a busy month for me so I'm hoping I can stay on track.  Had a good talk with my trainer about food so we are going to take another look at that next week.

I'm going the wrong way!  To be realistic though, I'm in the midst of tax season, and my goal till April 15th is to maintain what I have - not to lose ground - and get refocused on training goals on April 17th!

Start weight = 132.5 - 31.3%
Last week = 131.4 - 29.9%
This week = 132.0 - 30.7%

Next week's goal = 131.0 - 30.2%

Goal weight = 125
Goal BF% = 25%

I didn't get anywhere this week.    Anyway, I'm still trying.  I think I pushed my swimming to hard, because my shoulders hurt, so I'm taking it easy for a bit.
