Total Time = 1h 10m 57s
Overall Rank = 912/1307
Age Group = 40-44
Age Group Rank = 58/91
Pre-race routine:

Not too eventful except for the adrenaline rush as I had to pull off the road to avoid slamming into the car in front of me as they hit the breaks. I had breakfast in the car on the way to the race.
Event warmup:

The traffic jam from everyone trying to park delayed the start by about a half hour. Got some stretching done and it got good and light before we started.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Seemed to be a lot of running on concrete, which is always hard for me.

Event comments:

I love this 10K. This year they tried to add food to coincide with the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. The post race food was fun, but handing someone a whole muffin or chocolate bar or hunks of cheese during a 10K was not so great. The thought was good, the execution could be improved.

Performance: Good
Course: Mostly along Disney access roads, some steep grades on the turns. A section through MGM Studios was fun, then along the boardwalk between the Boardwalk resort and EPCOT, and finishing through EPCOT's World Showcase. It was fun to see some of the stuff behind the scenes at Disney!

Hey Ann,

Once again congratulations on a good race.  I'm not sure why someone would give you a whole muffin or chocalte bar during a 10k.  One sprint I did last year had fried chicken at the finish line.  Seemed strange to have fried chicken at 9 in the morning after exercising for an hour.  I think it must have something to do with the sponsors.

You think that is bad! They also tried to give us CHEESE!! Can you imagine eating cheese while running? The race was a blast though and congrats on your finish!!!!
