Total Time = 1h 42m 22s
Overall Rank = 215/321
Age Group = 30-35
Age Group Rank = 0/
Pre-race routine:

Ate normal breakfast, some gatorade before the race start, nothing exceptional.

Went with Jeff P., it was a big help to have him there.
Event warmup:

5 min jog, 10 min stretch
Swim
  • 12m 24s
  • 500 yards
  • 02m 29s / 100 yards
Comments:

Need a lot of work on my swimming.
What would you do differently?:

Prepare more for the swim, settle down some, work to the outside early and focus on my strokes
Transition 1
  • 02m 15s
Comments:

A little bit of trouble with clipping in, would like to practice the bike mount some

Very difficult swim to run. Getting out of the water was a real shock to me. Will have to work on some water to bike transitions.
Bike
  • 57m 36s
  • 14.7 miles
  • 15.31 mile/hr
Comments:

I pushed harder than I probably should have. It hurt my running some. Work on the Climbs more.
Transition 2
  • 01m 13s
Comments:

Excellent transition, didn't mind the bike to run transition. Tried to spin the last mile 110ish. Must have really helped.
Run
  • 28m 47s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 16s  min/mile
Comments:

Ran best I could. I didn't have a lot left. I got a second wind at about a mile in. Faded a bit at 2.5 miles.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around, stretched, nothing remarkable.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Traing.

Event comments:

I really liked the race. Met the orgainzer, he's a real nice guy.

Congrats -- good race. Swim doesn't sound all that bad, but if you have identified it needing work, now you know where to focus.
