Pre-race routine:

Drive 1 hour with family to Carrboro from Raleigh. Normal stuff...get packet, chip, marked, use the potty. Transition area was very muddy. Couple sips of coffee from my wife.
Event warmup:

Stretch, 1 lap jog around the track. (Event was at a middle school)

Not my best...legs were stiff from soccer the day before...need to rethink playing soccer the same weeken as a tri or du?

Warm down:

Soda with wife and son...watched other finishers. Watched transition of elite athletes doing the longer "Powerma"...I did the "Miniman".

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Soccer the day before...legs were very tight. I sprint a lot during soccer, it wears my muscles different than regular tri training.
