Javelin has been around for a long time, in various incarnations. I've got an old X-frame (from about 1990 or so) that looks sweet, rides like a banshee, and needs something like a 56T chainring. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures handy...

And while all of that is possibly interesting information, I'm sure none of it is ANY help whatsoever.

I have the Javelin Fara... (road bike), and has been with me through Sprint to Ironman. Lots of BT people bought Javelins when they were moving warehouses a few years ago because they were super-cheap. (i.e. my $1600 retail bike was bought for $599) Wish I would have picked up a tri-bike too back then.

I don't have anything to compare it to, but I've been happy with mine, and I think the quality is pretty much par with the big-name brands... this isn't a cheap knock-off type thing. Javelin makes some pretty cool uber-bikes.

Probably have 7500 miles on it give or take now. The nice thing though is because they are so uncommon it's usually fairly easy for me to spot my bike in transition amongst the Cervelos.

I think they aren't much for marketing... makes me wonder how they manage to stick around.

I have the Javelin Fara that I picked up a few years ago on the incredible deal.  I've put 3500 miles on mine (I have a tri bike too) training for IMCdA in 2008/9 and Vineman in 2010/1.  I've done nothing to it in that time (original tires, chain, brake pads, cables).

My wife has a Javelin Sizzano tri bike and has always loved it. Nothing fancy, 105, carbon fork. Never had a bad thing to say about it.

I have have had a Amarone for three years and absolutely love it. It is a high end boutique brand that has some designs by John Cobb and several styles are made in Italy. I think their tri bike, the Lugano, is the sexiest tri bike out there. I have bought my son their kids road bike. I like the fact that I rarely see other Javelins on the road.

Ever heard of the Javelin brand?  Ride one?  Seen one?

What do you think?

I am guessing they emailed you and offered you a deal on selling their bikes? I think they've emailed me 2-3x in the last two weeks.

That and I've seen them every once in a while and wondering what their deal is.
