dlugiwarriors - 2006-05-12 2:39 PM Jeff will agree, not trying to speak for him, but we both think my finishing time for this will be between 27:45 to 28:45, so I feel that I could run with her. Decision is ultimately up to her, but I am offering:-)

Thanks Vin, I'll let her know. I'm gonna see what I can to do stay close to you two, I still need to break 30 mins.

I just read that there is no packet pickup prior to race day. This doesn't make me happy, I usually pick it up the day before and let my OCD kick in. I'll go through it several times and spend 30 minutes making sure my bib number is straight. Crap I wanted to get a race belt before Saturday, maybe I can find one at a LBS near work today. Oh lace locks too, I'm through double knotting my laces whenever I run.

Adam, I am so OCD also, but didn't know what to expect since I haven't ran a road race since high school, so we will both have fun Saturday morning. I am going to TRY to run with Jeff for the first four minutes, than back off and wait to mile 2 before kicking it in again, that is my race plan at this time...God's Speed!

Just remember, my first four minutes are 6:10-6:20 pace...

As Beyonce says...

"Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me Hard, make me lose my (Hah Hah)"

Just kiddin'...you're welcome to start up front with me and see if you can keep the pace for the first four.  You may find you like the initial sprint...

Be sure to wear ear plugs. When Jeff takes off he breaks the sounds barrier. No need to get a DNF because of ruptured ear drums.

Ok who plans on running about a 9:00 pace? Anyone?? Bueller...??

I could use another shirt/shorts for running. I'll see what I can find at lunch today. Does anyone have some earbuds or black sunglasses?

Well be comforted by the fact that you wont be alone. Are working towards a sub 30? Thats all I'm looking for, even if I need an IV post race. Well I'll settle for another PR, but I got to have a tougher goal.

I just got back from Target, and I now have my black gear for Saturday. I'm hoping to get a pair of Boston Bill sunglasses before then. I tried on a few pair and they all fit great, just have to find a retailer and select a pair. And 30$ is much better then +100$ for Oakleys, that bounce all around and slide off once I start sweating.
