Subject: Open Water Swims

For those of you that do your open water swim training in Lake Michigan, I found a good website to get water temps:

Looks like I will not be taking the plunge for a while.

Does anyone else around Chicago do open water swims anywhere beside Lake Michigan?  If so, where?

If you are looking to get out of the city, Lake Geneva is a great place to go. Its about an hour 1/2 from St. Charles.

I guess I'm hijacking this thread, but does anyone know of OWS clubs in the Chicago area? After my swim at the LG Tri, I NEED lots of help with OWS, and thought that would be the place to start.

If anyone would know it would be running2far.  Try sending him a PM, he may be able to help you out.  Or you could try contacting Visionquest - a new endurance sport store/training facility that opened recently in Chicago.
