Pre-race routine:

Standard for me... Shower, eat a blueberry muffin and drink some water.
Event warmup:

Stretched a little, but just really walked to warm up the muscles. Tried to stay loose.

Comments:

This was the most unorganized run ever. It was a small run. They get about 4000 people for the walk afterwards.
What would you do differently?:

I wouldn't do this again. Lack of organization really made this a poor event for runners.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I felt slow after the first mile. I was hoping to run just under sub-8:00 miles. I think I would have been able to maintain or even speed up a little for the last mile.

Event comments:

I like the Charity and think it is a good cause. My mother-in-law donates some money to this, usually going and picking up her t-shirt but not participating. She asked me to do this for her. If she asks again, I will do it but otherwise I won't do it again.
