what I want to know is how many lives did he ruin to donate the 15%.  Helping people is great.  People who do it because they feel its the right I really applauded.  Some people are very kind in this world.  Others will convince you to make a bad loan.  take your life savings and then turn around and give you $100 and say wow look I am so good.  Those people I can do without.  Giving your employees 5% raise when no one give anyone a raise to me is better than someone who outsources a job and then gives alittle bit of it back a homeless former employee.

I'm suspect of anyone who feels the need to tell others what they donate. 

Probably a personality disorder on my part.....but still.

 incidentally, you'd be wrong that figure about the Obamas is based on their 2000-2004 tax returns. in 2010, they donated 14.2% to charity. i agree, you do have to respect someone who gives so generously of his own free choosing. 

I know I'm synical, but I'm not to impressed with charitable donations a president makes while in office.  He's under such a microscope that he knows he has to make large donations.

its what they do before and after office that means a bit more.



Before? As in during their campaign when they're being scrutinized even more?
