Subject: Book Recommendation

Since I started using the forum about two months ago, I have noticed any number of questions about general fitness, heart rates, etc.  All are good questions that I sought the answers to as I decided to get serious about our sport. I'm an avid online newspaper junkie and I stumbled across Alex Hutchinson, a fitness columnist and author:

??alexhutchinson.net

He is an athlete and scientist who has the statsitical knowledge to read and break down all of those "studies" that everyone refers to without understanding.  He has collected his blogs and columns into an easy to read and understand book, "Which Comes First, Cardio or Weights?"  While not tri-specific, I have found the book and his sweatscience.com blog to hold a wealth of information and scientific fact.

Highly recommended to all who are looking for a good reference for general fitness (and he even answers his e-mail, if you have a question).

(Apologies for not attaching links, my work computer doesn't allow for it)

Got it from the library, leafed through it, didn't read through much.  Gave the impression that it was written for the general public and not athletes.

You are right.  It is a great blog.  I bought his book on my Kindle last week but haven't had a chance to start reading it yet.
