Run
Comments: I ran the majority of this race--my walk 'breaks' were always under a minute. I took it relatively slow in the the first mile--well, I tried to--I still ended up getting to the one mile mark at 11:13--which is fast for me!This was the first race I've done in minimalist shoes--I think I am hooked. my energy level was so much better than usual. There was some pain in my back and one leg, but nothing exceptionally bad. What would you do differently?: I definitely should have been running more--Though I improved, I know I could still do better. Apart from that, I am overall satisfied with my performance. Post race
Warm down: I walked around and chatted with my cousins, who showed up to cheer me on. What limited your ability to perform faster: Just my normal slowness--Its still important for me to get my endurance improved before I can concentrate on getting faster. Event comments: It was well set up--especially for only being the third time its been done. They also had nachos and hot dogs (and beer--but it was the cheap stuff...bummer)as the post race snacks...definite plus. Last updated: 2012-02-05 12:00 AM
