The race was at 7:30 so at 5:30 I have a bagel with peanut butter. At 6:45 I had a Genesis Pure Sports drink. 7:15 I had a Honey Stinger gel
Event warmup:

Some light jogging around the parking lot and setting up my transition zone
Run
  • 24m 25s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 51s  min/mile
Comments:

I had a great run. I didn't start out to fast and didn't try to keep up with the faster runners. I ran my pace and my race
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, nailed my times.
Transition 1
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

My cleats and pedals were wet, hard to clip in. Again, I should wear my tri shoes and have them already clicked in.
What would you do differently?:

Wear my tri shoes and practice transitions.

Comments:

I had a great ride I thought I was going to hard for the upcoming run but I got off the bike and felt pretty strong. I did not get passed by one person. I moved up through the field passing a lot of people. I passed a guy in my age group at mile 14 who beat me on the run. I never gave the ground back.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, maybe go faster!
Transition 2
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

Pretty good transition. Shoes off and on good. Had a power gel.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 24m 40s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 56s  min/mile
Comments:

Just ran as fast as I could keep the same pace.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing maybe run faster :-)
Post race
Warm down:

stretch a bit

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Probably my weight and the wind, and rain.

Event comments:

Great awards! Great food afterwards! Great results on site, result available on the web same day. Well run, well organized. I'll do more of their races.

Nice job Brad.  Way to rock the bike.  3rd overall on the bike is an awesome ride.  Too bad I wasn't just a little faster...  Smile
