Comments: Felt really ggod. Managed reverse splits (due in part to the climb in the first half). Felt like I was gonna hurl at the end. Guess that indicates a good, honest effort :-). Scored PR. My prior best was a bit over 7 minute miles... What would you do differently?: Had a long training bike the day before and my legs were stilled kinda cooked. Will avoid that...probably affeected my time even more than I think... ![]() Post race
Warm down: Finished and sat on a bench to wait for my girl to finish. Then had the requisite bagel, donut, water. What limited your ability to perform faster: My long training ride the prior day. Event comments: Good race - starts late in the day (10 AM), is walking distance from my home, fairly challenging course, got a PR...what more could I ask for? Last updated: 2006-05-13 12:00 AM

Just walked over to the start as the race is in my town.
Just ran a few hundred yards. Oddly, that warm-up went extremely poorly (very tired, both legs and generally tired) yet a scored a PR on the rawce itself.
