Comments: My goal was to maintain at 4:30 min/km pace average for the race. I knew that I was going to start too fast if I didn't stay on top of it, so I was regularly checking the Garmin to make sure I kept a comfortable pace. What would you do differently?: I woudn't have done anything different. I had a great race and hit my target time. Next time will push the pace a little bit more, but have no regrets for my first half marathon! Post race

I had a Clif bar about 2 1/2 hours before the race and tried to stay hydrated. The race was well managed, but there were still long lines for the bag check and the washrooms. Recommend showing up early.
Short slow pace run of about 3/4 to 1 km to warm up. Took a gel about 5 minutes before the start.
