Pre-race routine:

got up around 5:30 showered got dressed and ate a bagel
Event warmup:

start area was a madhouse. did some light stretching in between dodging beach balls and flying tortillas.

Comments:

ran the race pretty much the way I planned. Hayes street hill seemed to go on forever. started my final kick a little to soon but ran the entire distance, my longest run ever. :)
What would you do differently?:

train more on hills. take a gu at 30 minutes instead of 45

Warm down:

walked about a mile to post race festival picked up shirt and headed home

What limited your ability to perform faster:

need to lose a little more weight

Course: started at howard and main st proceeded through downtown sf at mile 2.5 it hit the hayes st hill with its 11% grade that seemed to go on forever. course then flowed downhill through golden gate park and finishing at the Great Highway

Good job! That's a nice pace considering the juggernaut that is Hayes St Hill. If you've done any hill training at all you can pass about 1000 people there, as long as they give you room to get through the crowd. Looks like you picked up the pace as the race went along, too, which is always a sign of being a strong runner at that distance. I'm surprised you say it's your longest run ever.

Unfortunately I had to miss this race this year. Always seems like something comes up.
