I'm planning on signing up for this race as a "tune up" for the Full Vineman in late July.

Thought I'd get a thread going on this event...

Who has done this in the past? Feedback, thoughts, comments, suggestions, etc.?

Looks like some serious climbing on the bike with a few short but steep hills. Equipment suggestions? I'm on a P3 with a standard crank and an 11-25 rear cassette on my racing wheels. I train on lots of rollers with a few decent climbs each week. For example, one of my routes is about 45 miles with about 2500ft of elevation gain...min is 16ft, max is 1500 ft. I do that ride at just about 20mph avg. Think I'm ok or should I swap out my cassette for something like a 12-27?

Looks like a beautiful location...any feedback would be great!

Thanks!

Nothing? No one knows anything about this? No one has done it? No one is doing it? Seems odd....

Bump - So anyone else doing this event on Sunday...or will I be winning it as the only guy racing?!

Sounds like the water is expected to be about 72, daytime high in mid-80's...

They ARE still taking registrations! Looks like a fun, very pretty and challenging course....come on, what else are you doing this weekend?
