Pre-race routine:

back to back weekends with Half marathons. Same as last week. Up early and to the race site early to find parking. Stayed in my car cause it was cold and very windy.

stood in the parking garage out of the wind and cold.

Comments:

Cold, windy, hilly course. Didnt expect to PR this race on this course in these conditions. Felt good and went with it. Stayed just in front of the 1:35 pacers the whole way. They complained alot about the mile markers being way off. They probably were since my garmin said we were at 6.35 at mile 6 then at mile 9 it was back to 9.08 finished at 13.2 Good day for me. Feel like I couldve broken 1:30 if it werent for the strong winds.
Post race
Warm down:

I knew I had left it out there when I finished and spent the next 5 minutes trying not to throw up. The had ART tables outside which wasa nice, but I was sweaty and it was 50 and windy. I was shivering the whole time.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

cant change conditions.

Event comments:

Nice race, nothing fancy, lots of aid stations on course. Might have been better off with less stations and more volunteers at the stations.

Dude that's a great time!  We battled the winds getting to Lawrence, took us 2:40 to get from Olathe to Mass St.  We had a Bagel at Einsteins, then came back.

Your run's looking good, wish I could hold 7:11's for a 10K
