Has anyone else checked out the site Strava? Pretty slick.  You can setup specific rides or runs and then upload from a GPS.  We've got a popular ride in my area that has a 1,500 feet rise.  Now that I can see how others did I definitely feel motivated to step it up a bit.

Yes, it's great if you're in an area with some juicy climbs. In my current neck of the woods it's not a whole lot of use, but when I was living in Boulder last summer it was a great motivator for the hill intervals. I would race up the climb and then compare my times to the Strava rankings for that climb.

Sounds a lot like mapmyride.com.

It's fun when I travel a little for a ride. Nice to be able to say what Category a climb was. Otherwise there nothing in the immediate area will show up (and it shouldn't).

Mapmyride on steroids. You can compete against others without having to do anything. Just start your ride and rid hard.

Strava is cooler than mapmyride.  The features that allow you to see other's peoples "segments" or rides, especially the ones on climbs where you can compete for KOM status is pretty neat.  And you can "follow" pro cyclists, kind of like FB or twitter, but actually see the profiles of their rides.

Its a neat little gadget.  Here is me on Strava.  Check it out.

Just started using it.  It has some great features and I love being able to compare different segments.
