I hoped you all had a great race.  I know I did.  One of those races I did not think I was going to finish until like mile 24.  I was slowest.  Probably my slowest ever but I got threw it and I am happy about that.

I would have loved to meet many of you but I was not in the mood for it.   Running out of medals was a real emotional let down for me.  I guess I was that tired I really let it get to me.

Important thing is you finished.  Better than did not finish, which is always better than did not start.

I was in a horrible mood too when I was done- I don't know why????  I think I needed to eat and pass out (which I did) and wake up refreshed.

Which is funny since I used that as my mantra to even start the race.  Really funny how that old saying DFL > DNF > DNS is so true and if many people who DNS would think that way they would finish pretty well.

Fantastic experience!  It was my first so I originally had a time goal, but I threw it out the window to just enjoy the experience.  Very unique way to see the city.  Tons of fun, and I even did a negative split on the second half.

One thing I wish I did- I would have liked to have seen my official splits.  In retrospect, signing up for text alerts would have been smart.

Does anyone know when/where the official results are?

In 1972 , a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem...if no one else can help...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire...The A- Team to investigate the case of the stolen medals.

I got an email at 6:30 Sunday night that said do not worry your medal is going to be sent out as soon as we find what we did with them.  Knowing the A-team is on it makes me feel better.

I got an email from Chicago Triathlon in 2010 telling me my A/G award will be mailed out shortly and I still have not received it.  I think that email was an error because I got 2nd in an A/G that did not really exist.
