Strated to run and I knew my calves would cramp a little but didn't think my quads would almost lock up on me! Tried to stretch them and it got worse. Had to jog at a much slower pace to not cramp worse. One of my worst runs I can remember.
What would you do differently?:

train more, stretch more leading up to event.

Quads cramping up bad!
