This should fit the bill.

Recently, it's become my favorite, uh, 'road' bike. I call it that because of the drop bars, STI shifters, and full road (shimano 105) drivetrain, and 700C wheels. (And prototype Speedpack 483--for TT and tri bikes--on top tube undergoing some testing ... )

This is my Gravel Grinder Vaya setup!

How do you like the thudbuster post, do you get noticeable travel and cushioning with it?

Picked this up at a yard sale... a little bit of surface rust, tore it down, cleaned and greased it, added a few new parts and it was good to go!

Do you like the lefty setup?

Only had it a few weeks now, about 60 miles on it.  It plays with your mind at first but it feels lighter up front and pops over stuff really nicely.  Haven't landed hard on the front but have caught the rear going over some obstacles giving the front a few nice compressions and no issues.  I'm just over 200# so I've had to play with the pressure and pretty well have it maxed our right now but I need to lower it some.

P.S. All the kids in the neghbor hood give me the wierdest look as I ride the 1/2 mile to trails.

??

Say hello to Beast. Steel frame, flat pedals - just TRY and break him!  I did my first sprint tri on this monster.

Shown here in his "road" setup with slicks.

This truly fits the 'alternative' title of this thread.  This is my Takara fixed gear.  I found it abandoned, sticking straight up in a snow bank at the end of my street.  I called the cops and it ultimately went unclaimed, so I kept it.  It was a ten speed that I converted to fixed.  I know all hipsters like the minimalist look of fixed gears, but I just couldn't take off the awesome matching fenders and chain guard.  So I guess I'm not that cool.  Its a blast to ride.

I have a few of those "other" bikes too!Cool

here's a couple of them, My fuel was re-done and powdercoated, but the darn frame cracked a 3rd time so it's sitting here waiting for a new rear triangle.  I need to get some pics of my carbon fibre HT race bike.

My Silver Black Phantom Bike.   *With apologies to Meatloaf and Jim Steinman*     $50 discounted Walmart bike.   Upgraded to a three speed Sturmey Archer planetary gear on the rear wheel.   Back rack and fold-able baskets.     Needs a headlight but holding out for old school.   PeeWee Herman and all that.

My favorite bike EVER.  Electra Townie with an Xtracycle FreeRadical.  Also currently installed (though not pictured here) is a Bionx electric assist motor.

My "interval" bike...A lot of times when my training plan asks for "hills" or "high intensity" intervals, I bust out this bike and hit the mountain...Also keeps things interesting when I'm already putting in a lot of time on my tri-bike...(sorry for the grainy picture)

Nice. I like the kids carrier with the 3-child roller-coaster-style 'seat belt' !

My other bike!

Got it this winter, and so far she's been kind to me. Gotta love the 29er rims.  I can't say the same thing about me being kind to her though.

And yes, my bike stays IN the house.

Absolutely LOVE this!  I'll hopefully be in the market for one when I get to Chicago (and maybe once we move out of the studio-sized condo that will already have 2 tri-bikes in it...
