Subject: Running Trails near Middlebury

I'm looking for recommendations on the hardest, hilliest, most technical single-track trails that I can run near Middlebury, CT next weekend.  My wife (jazz82482 on BT) is doing Rev3 Quassy HIM, and I'm looking for some trails to run in prep for the Mohican 50 mile trail run in June.  I'd like to get in a 30 miler, so the longer trails the better.  Thanks!

Easy but long.  Take the asphalt walkway (in front of Quassy) to Rte 63, Rte 63 South to the bridal trail, (Bridal Trail is at Hop Brook Dam) westerly on bridal trail to Rte 188 follow back to Quassy.

Other Options,

Thomaston Dam, Army Corps Property

Go a little bit southwest and run the Quinnipiac trail over Mt Sanford.  Pick it up in Prospect and do a 15 mile out and back.  That will give you 30 brutal miles.

Thanks all for the suggestions!  I was torn between Quinnipiac and Mattatuck Trail, but Mattatuck seemed a little closer to where we were staying.  

I picked the trail up in Black Rock State Park and got lost in the woods for a few hours, somehow finding my way and back to the car for a sweet 4 hour run in which I only covered 17 miles!  The next day I ran the Quassy run course plus some of the Greenway trail covering 17 miles in 2 hours.  Haha, Mattatuck was just that hard.  Plus it rained the entire time on Mattatuck so everything was slick.  But awesome. Definitely a hiking trail with some un-runable sections because of steep hills/roots/rocks/mud, but I love all that stuff.
