I stopped briefly around mile 4 to mooch water off a kayaker (I missed the mile two boat and had a massive headache for the last hour+, with nausea the last half mile) and apparently the woman just in front of me had stopped at the kayaks because she thought she might have hypothermia.  He asked how I was feeling w/out a wetsuit - honestly, the water temp was just perfect.

Did you have a red cap?  I did see a red cap stopping at a kayak.

Strange that anyone would have hypothermia symptoms.  There were only brief spots of cold which were wonderful because it was mainly hot.

My stomach was feeling sick that last 1.5 miles, I think maybe because of the fuel in the water?

yes, that was us!  I was not at my sharpest at that moment.

and I was a yellow cap.  I actually brought my own, so I was a slightly different shade of yellow cap.

You actually looked a little bit green when I saw you.

What are the odds?  I only talked to maybe 12 people that I didn't know.  And then I made the "Wistah" connection when I got back on-line.  Hope that I wasn't too chatty.

Timberman is on my list...it's a long list, btw!

I was very, very green at that moment.  You were not too chatty.  I'm normally very chatty, just not right then.  Definitely don't take it personally - it was nice to have met you IRL, even if we didn't figure it out at the time.

Timberman is a great race, we did it in 2009.  Gorgeous up there.  Not at all flat.

My life race list is also very long.  Ping me if you're up this way racing, we'll try to meet under better circumstances.
