Comments: 2 miles in a long way to swim, especially when you have to do it in 1/8th mile segments, turn around and then do another, 16 times! Sighting was tricky, there was the line to your right so unless you just kept breathing to that side it was easy to stray away from it. I wish I had come in just a little faster, but I haven't really been training for that distance so I'll take it. What would you do differently?: Nothing really, this was just a fun, local event that I decided to do as a hard training day. $25 for my USA Swimming one day pass and two races is well worth it!  Post race

Walked around the beach area waiting for the event to start. Drank an Instant Breakfast one hour prior to race time then at a Hammer Gel immediately prior to race start.
