Still not sure how to enter this but thought I'd give some feedback on the first annual Stafford Tri.

Easy to get to off Rt 72 just outside Long Beach Island. Parking available in a few places and not too hard to figure out. Two parking lots and street parking available. Was advertised as a closed course for some parts at least but was not closed at any point along the course that I could tell but volunteers did a good job of directing traffic around racers. Site was relatively nice: transition area was a little small but sufficient. One gripe - 3 porta potties for 200 people is not enough! Park bathrooms were closed almost up until race start.

Swim was good distance walk from transition area such that run back to bike was prob 1/8th mile on asphalt path in bare feet with wetsuit on - not great but not terrible. Swim was water start since no beach to stand on and was clockwise point to point. Lots of lifeguards and rescue boats in water which all seemed to respond quickly to people needing assistance.

Bike start was initially several sharp turns through the neighborhood until out on the main road and then 2 loops with 3 x 180degree turns so had to really slow down and get back up to speed each time after turn. Again, not closed course and a little unnerving passing other riders not knowing where cars were. My Garmin recorded 8.8miles but was billed as 10miler...

Run had couple small hills - nothing significant and nothing remarkable to report.

Lots of volunteers and enthusiastic organizers. Good food at end although not much variability. Gazebo on lake a little small to accomodate 200 people coming and going. Relatively well-organized and seemed to have gone off well for first time race there.

Fun short race and recommended
