Pre-race routine:

Worked from 10pm to 6am. Drove to the race, got marked and set up transition. Ate for crap throughout the night. Drank alot of coffee.

Awful sighting. After the second buoy i did not turn acutely enough and went off to my left a ways. Finally noticed about 2 min later and had to head back to the pack. This killed my time.
What would you do differently?:

Wear non tinted goggles.

My calves totally cramped up. This same thing happened at this race 2 years ago. This did not happen 2 weeks ago at the 70.3. Maybe the lack of sleep, as I did this race after a night shift 2 years ago as well.

Started out with a 9+ min/mile average for the first 1/2 mile. After the cramps settled down I picked it up and finished strong. I would like to get under 21 for this, but I can't complain.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of sleep and being 2 weeks removed from my 70.3 without a real plan/taper. But it is a nice venue and close to home, so no complaints.
