I should lift or swim right now at lunch...  Just not feeling it.  BUT, I guess I will walk for an hour to get some air and burn a few extra cals...

Or I could go into the conference room and play Xbox.  Decisions decisions.

I am sitting here in a cold dark room with a lot of white noise.  If it weren't for the cold I would have fallen asleep by now.  Maybe I should go grab my lab coat.

Seeing it's 45 years old, Cream stands the test of time very well! Badge is another musically amazing song. Too much talent, too much ego.

Question for you.  My new IM plan has me doing some basic strength stuff today.  Legs and back...  I'm wondering (and yes, I know that they are not the same - one is cardio and the other is strength training), BUT, could a swap out, say, some squats and rows and get on the rowing machine for 10-15 minutes and have it be about the same workout?

Maybe this is WAY too deep for TAN, but I was thinking about it on my walk.

Would you tolerate infidelty in a relationship?  Or is it a case by case situation?  And to what level of it?

I guess I'm thinking I could get past just about anything if there was remorse and work to make it better.  It would be the repeat offender and/or lack of remorse that would be the bigger deal for me.

Kate would know better than I but ... if you give it your all on the rower .. I can see it being comparable.  I know that rowing, with intensity, kicks my legs and cardio like crazy!

Same in my experience.  PLUS, this is the first day in MONTHS that I will be doing ST.  So I think that the rowing machine would be a acceptable place to start.  Once I get few weeks in, I could start lifting heavy.

Depends on how you row and whether your strength training is meant to be endurence strength of build strength.  If you concentrate on your leg drive it should give you some good quads work out  but not a whole lot in the hammies department.  If you want try setting the erg display to power, set the damper on 3 or 4 and try to make the power curve looks skewed right, tall initial peak with the drop off as slow as you can make it.  That is rowing for power.

Better to just powder them and mix them into the soil as fertilizer.  it is a win win that way.

Here are my finding after 3 days of cutting calories:

I have to find a balance between eating 2400 a day and feeling good but not losing weight, and eating 1500 a day and feeling tired.

Also, based on my old eating patterns, is HARD to stay under 1600.  I realized that you can never eat till your full anymore.  You eat JUST ENOUGH to not be uncomfortable for the next 2-3 hours then do it again...  So a couple ounces of nuts, or a greek yogurt and apple, handful of carrots, etc.  You eat to avoid discomfort, not satisfaction.

No.  What is the underlying reason for the infidelity?  The cheater isn't getting what they need in the relationship.  Why should the cheater stay in the relationship and continue to hurt the other person.

The damper is the lever on the side of the fan that goes from one to 10.  You should pretty much never be rowing on a 10 the erg is designed to give you as much resistance as power you put in.

On the display hit change display until you have a histogram display on the bottom with the y axis being Kg.  Hang on and let me PM you a pic.

Absolutely not.  That is THE deal breaker for me.  I would never trust that person again.  I could never forget it.  I could forgive it .. perhaps.  But I'd never forget thus it would kill the trust and the emotional intimacy which in turn would effect the physical intimacy.

Yeah, I used to think that way.  And maybe I still do.  I feel like I care enough to try to work it out, but without being in that position, it's hard to tell.  The day to day lack of trust would be too much of a burden?

I guess what got me thinking, is that I have heard stories and stories of people in relationships going into reality shows and TV and they never last.

I can accept movie/scripted kisses/whatever.  But the reality shows, where it's up to the actors to be outrageous...  So it's more their own choice.

Yes, obviously there are underlying issues.  But people do make mistakes and what if you are working on those other issues after this brought it to the forefront?
