Swim
Comments: I like this swim, although I thought it was way more choppy this year. It's hard to sight coming back in as the sun is in your eyes, but I knew this coming in and wasn't surprised. What would you do differently?: Bilateral breath. Relax. Learn to pee while swimming. Transition 1
Comments: Longest transition in history. Seriously had to run about a quarter mile. What would you do differently?: Wetsuit still drives me crazy. Practice more I guess. Bike
Comments: I like this bike. It's mostly flat and an out and back so you can see everyone. There wasn't much wind so it was nice. Rolling hills throughout. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Trust myself more. Transition 2
Comments: Again...longest transition in history. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: This was one hot run! I met a fellow parent (stella's class) and chatted with him for a bit. It was his first race. I wasn't too worried about this run and was just having fun. I was very relieved to be done with the bike. Started running faster when Sarah caught me and then sprinted in the last 1/2 mile. It was hard! But I had a goal to make it in under 3 hours and just made it. What would you do differently?: Probably should have taken the run more seriously. I have a hard time drinking on the run. Even water upsets my stomach and makes me belchy. Need to get my nutrition on the bike squared away and figure out what to do on the run. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit and then packed up the car and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Heat. Last updated: 2012-06-04 12:00 AM
