I see this guy's Marathon story apologies, and raise him two disciplines.

You don't know boredom until I corner you at a cocktail party and tell you about my Ironman...

I'll talk someone's arm off about a sprint....to the point that my wife has to "give me the signal" to shut up. Can't wait until I'm done with an IM.....

Well, once I get myself to a place where I can train for IM, the benefit will be that I'll never have time to be around anyone else to tell them all about it.

What are these "cocktail parties" you speak of? Was that on Mad Men?

See, I go the other way. I rarely say anything. I just don't want to hear all the 'OMG that's so FAR', and 'training that early is awful' and etc.

BUT, get me with another runner/race walker/cyclist/etc. and together we will bore the life out of anyone within 10 feet talking about HR monitors, nutrition, workouts and everything in the article as well. LOL

Well, I do work in Advertising. Everyday is a cocktail party. But it's usually just me drinking alone. Heavily.

I'd be right there driving people comatose discussing the nutrition powders I mix in my water bottles, my FTP, why I chose Speed Play pedals, etc. Yah, it would drive most people nuts.

Well all kidding aside, there are only two times in my life that I think is justified for consuming alcohol, when I'm alone with nobody else, or with someone else!!
