Pre-race routine:

Woke up a little before 5 a.m. and got to the race at 5:45. Plenty of time to set up in transition.
Event warmup:

No real warmup as the race would last several hours. Decided to save my energy for the event itself.

The swim was just average and seemed a little long. I did okay, but I need to figure out how to get into a better rhythm. More OWS would probably help! Also, my ankle strap started coming off at the beginning which forced me to slow down and adjust.
