Subject: Ironman Tracking Spreadsheet

I vaguely remember a spreadsheet being circulated around last year or the year before that helped calculate time, distance and location of Ironman athletes on the course on race day. It allowed you to put in anticipated paces on the swim, bike and run and then it would do the grunt work to calculate where the athlete would be and at what time of day. It was a very nice tool for spectators to have an idea where and when to look for whoever they are following. I know I saved a copy of this spreadsheet somewhere, but for the life of me I cannot find it. Anyone still have that thing handy??

If I do this right, there should be an xls file attached. Not sure where I got it, but it was probably here.

In 2010, I "bought" an excel file from pattonathletics.com that did the calculations and then put times on a map. I can't tell from the sparse website if he's still in business. May not be necessary anyway.

I'd also recommend myathletelive.com. Friends and I have used it successfully the last two years, and I'm sure we'll use it again this year.

Here is another one. Different interface but more locations showing where you will be at what time. On the second page of the file it has maps as well with times inserted, but it's too big to upload here so I put it on a filesharing website:

Let me know if anyone wants the full file with maps on the second page emailed to them.

If that doesn't work, I attached a version with just the estimated times on the first page. It doesn't have a best/worst/probable feature, but I just fill out two or three and give them to my family for watching. Just another option.
