Can we like chicken and be good to others without caring who marries who?

Does it take God to do that?

I would think He's more busy than that.

If God exists....He's GOT to have the best example of a sense of humor.

Reminds me of something my college religion professor once said. (I went to a school run by the Christian Brothers; he was an interesting guy, who had started off in seminary, then changed his mind and married a woman who was about to enter the nunnery). It seems there was a student who came to see him, distraught because someone broke into his (the student's) apartment and stole his stereo. He saw it as god's punishment for taking the shower with his girlfrient. When the prof pointed out that it seemed unlikely that god (who created heaven and earth, all of creation, etc, etc) would be that interested in spying on two teenagers in college and sending a burglar to punish this, the student seemed relieved. But then the student asked "But what am I being punished for????"
