Any parents that live in a different area than your kids?

I have a meeting with my ex in a few hours about her possibly relocating out of the area (I do not know to where yet) and this scares the crap out of me.  Just to make it clear I will be fighting to keep my kids near me and will gladly have them live with me but I will bet my ex wants them to go with her. We do have shared custody but she does have the majority due to the fact that she works from home right now and is able to take the kids to and from school. So my question is are there any parents here who’s kids are out of town where you have a long drive or have to fly to see them? How does that work for you?
